Welcome to the education page for Balanced Body Comprehensive Teacher Training.

What students are saying.

  • My experience with Mat 1 exceeded my expectations. I was nervous to begin because I have little experience with pilates compared to others who are pursuing teaching. I did not only learn the essential mat materials, but also so much about the body. I find myself a week+ after completing the course, correcting my own posture and paying closer attention to my body’s alignment. In the past year I have taken many reformer classes and learning the Mat 1 excersises totally changed my perspective on reformer pilates. I can make so many connections from the workouts we learned to what you do in a typical reformer pilates class and I feel like I will only improve on the reformer as I do more on the mat. Thank you Delia!

  • After taking reformer classes for a year, it was so educational to take the Mat 1 course and learn more about the basic movements of Pilates. Delia is very knowledgeable and did a great job instructing the students both online and in person! Looking forward to taking more courses!

    Ellie

  • Mat 1 Instructor Training with Delia reminded me of how important building a proper foundation is to Pilates, while at the same time provided support in learning how to help others. She delivered the two naturally and effectively, sharing her knowledge of over 20 years in the business. Whether you're looking to learn the fundamentals, and/or wanting to teach, Delia's classes will leave you filled with knowledge and tools to help with your journey. Besides all of that, it was super fun! I can't wait for Reformer 1!

    Nikki

  • Mat 1 pilates course with Delia was an incredible experience. Delia was engaging, thorough, and refreshingly honest about the journey of becoming a Pilates teacher. She made the training feel approachable while still challenging us to grow. Her guidance and support were so helpful every step of the way—I left feeling excited and confident about the next steps in my teaching journey.

    Deanna

  • I really enjoyed the Mat 1 training with you! It was very refreshing to have an educator who, like me, has a more athletic background. I could relate to you and recognize myself more (compared to educators who have more of a dance background and are extremely flexible)! I loved your energy and, doing this course online, it could have quickly become very long, but you easily included everyone and it was engaging for us online as well! It was also nice that you divided the course over 3 days instead of the usual 2 days. It was less overwhelming, less exhausting and gave us time to process the material.
